Editorial: El Artista Magazine
El Artista magazine is celebrating against all odds we have reached our first year with our hopes intact. In fact this anniversary issue was prepared with the same enthusiasm as the first although undoubtedly with a clearer vision of the future and the commitments we have acquired with readers and advertisers who share our faith in art and artists after a year of battling. We are pleased to showcase the work of Francisco Tn created in the 1970s and part of the 1980s with an intuitive lucidity that is even more admirable considering the harsh and painful conditions under which it was created. Its recognition today owes more to the economic speculations of some collectors rather than its intrinsic artistic value.Sergio ValenzuelaValenz represents the successful artist of our time and in the interview he granted us he fully embodies this role a true professional creative hardworking methodical and demanding. He is capable of imagining projecting and constructing his work while considering various scenarios of the present and the future.Among the diversity of new proposals we have selected Anai MartnezMont whose notable creations add experimental expressive resources to her fertile imagination which remains faithful to the reality that inspires her.We also include the second installment of the article on the controversy between the modern and the conceptual an article that in a way anticipated the discussion sparked by the XVIII Paiz Art Biennial. But above all we share the joy of the success that comes from realizing the ideals that motivated us to found El Artista magazine.
